PEORIA – A #1 best-selling author, whose books highlight the critically acclaimed show “Downton Abbey” made a stop in the River City Saturday.

Author Jessica Fellowes is visiting Peoria for a special event at the Peoria Public Library.

Fellowes is speaking to more than 200 people who registered for the evening fundraiser.

Fellowes has written two books, The World of Downton Abbey and The Chronicles of Downton Abbey, which she said enhance the viewer’s experience with the very popular show. “It's like a little tri-fold already the book. You've got the three layers, really exploring the script and the characters and the story lines and how that was all put together, including Julian's back stories. As well as costume and make up and then in fact, what life was really life.”

Fellowes’ Uncle, Julian Fellowes, is the creator of the PBS series.
