New artwork at the Peoria International Airport is now being displayed.

Student artists from area high schools were asked to create what they thought would display the concept of “aviation.”

Students from schools such as Dunlap, Limestone, and Richwoods al say they’re happy to get the chance to display their creative work.

“I think it's a real special experience to be honored here at the airport and have our paintings displayed as well as to see other people's painting too,” said Nidhi Suthar, a student at Dunlap High School.

“It’s exciting, it's a lot of excitement just knowing that everyone is going to be seeing it and were representing our school like you said it's a big honor and I've got a lot of excitement,” said Adam Gray, a student at Peoria Notre Dame.

The artwork will be displayed at the Peoria International Airport for a few weeks.
