NORMAL - A family services agency is celebrating 112 years in the community.

The Baby Fold is saying thank you to some of its biggest volunteers, with its Founders Day Banquet. A ceremony at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bloomington will also honor retiring CEO Dale Stassheim. Officials say the program has grown tremendously thanks to community support.

"These are individuals who have given quite a bit of support to the agency in time, treasure or talent over the year, or their lifetime. So, it's people we really appreciate,” said Julie Payne, vice president of development and public relations for the Baby Fold.

The staff will discuss some of the new therapy techniques that are being used across its buildings. Guests will also be able to make donations to different Baby Fold programs.
