Maureen Kiesewetter has been training for the 2014 Boston marathon for the past three years.
For her, running the race is especially important this year because her great, great uncle won the Boston Marathon exactly 100 years ago. Unfortunately he died not long after his race.
"He was one of the first Canadians to go to war in World War I. And I'm just happy to honor my family, my uncle and the bombing victims of last year by doing this,” said Kiesewetter.
Maureen finished just under four and a half hours. She doesn't know if she will run again, but says it was the perfect experience.
