BLOOMINGTON- Destihl Brewery is helping to bring in more jobs to Bloomington.

The brewery is joining with a Philadelphia company to distribute its selection of craft beers to Pennsylvania.

To accomodate the growth, Destihl is working to expand its current facility.

The expansion will include adding a new row of fermentation tanks that will increase capacity from 10,000 to 16,000 barrels.

Since starting their canning line back in March, they have produced over 350,000 cans of beer.

Brew Master Matt Potts says craft beers have grown in popularity as consumers develop more educated pallets.

"With another row of tanks that will mean a lot more people working for us. And with the addition of the bottling line, again, we'll need a lot more packagers as well probably. So it's good for us, good for the community," said Matt Potts, Destihl Brew Master.

The brewery currently distributes more than 20 different beers throughout the year to over 10 states.
