Peoria -The list of people wanting the open seat on the Peoria District 150 school board is growing.

So far four people have officially applied for the district three seat.

They are Melvin McCaw, Dan Adler, Jeff Lickiss, and Nancy Overcash.

The position opened up after Sue Wolstenholm took her oath of office last week and resigned just a few minutes later.

She had announced before she had planned to quit.  Wolstenholm was the candidate backed by a group called Change 150 which is trying to make changes within the district.

The deadline to be considered for the open seat is Friday at noon.
"Just an interest in public education is a great attitude to have when applying, said District 150 Member Chris Coplan. “And I definitely encourage parents and active community members to consider. “

If you're interested, just email your resume and letter of interest to the District 150 school board secretary or take them to the school administration office.

The school board has to choose its new member by its August 11th board meeting.
