PCAV is a citizen volunteer driven group that aims to reduce violence in the community.
Monday night, more than 20 people attended an open house meeting at the East Bluff Community Center. For nearly two hours, people shared ideas and resources that might help the community. PCAV invited anyone to get involved, including local residents, faith-based organization and neighborhood associations.
Ryan Hobson, PCAV outreach chair, hopes that the community will commit to action.
"We all have jobs -we work and we just decided that we're going to be a part of this and w're going to see what we can do to help," said Hobson. "Because doing nothing -either you'er a part of the solution or a part of the problem, and going nothing to me is being a part of the problem."
PCAV will host several open houses in upcoming weeks.
