Students at Kellar Primary School got the chance to bond with their dads and enjoy sweet treats this morning.
The event is called “Donuts with Dads.”
Dads or “dads for the day,” spent time with their kids in the schools’ cafeteria, enjoying donuts, coffee, and juice.
They also took family photos to commemorate the day.
The purpose of the event is to encourage family bonding, as well as introduce men to other dads.
“I think parent involvement is a big part of the school and community here. And showing your kid that you support them. I just think it's a good thing to do,” said Wyatt Wood, father of student.
I've never been to this school but it seems to be a pretty good school. It's nice to be able to find out a little bit about it this morning, you know,” said Roger Rose,
grandfather of student.
There was also a wellness table at the event, where men could learn more about physical fitness and receive complimentary blood pressure checks.
