BLOOMINGTON - There's some positive news for drivers this fall.

New data from State Farm Insurance reveals your chances of hitting a deer are dropping.

The month most prone to crashes is November.

It's the heart of the deer hunting and mating season.

State Farm statistics reveal nationwide the odds a driver will crash into a deer next year have declined by more than four percent.

In Illinois the likelihood of a crash has dropped 10 percent.

Since fewer accidents are occurring...State Farm says it could mean more people are paying attention on the road.
