The Illinois Green Economy Network stopped by the college's Normal campus.
As part of its state-wide road trip. They brought with them a couple of electronic cars.
The group says they are stopping by each Illinois Community College which have an EV changing station to let people know that there are plenty of places throughout the state to recharge a car.
“Today is a demonstration of how community colleges across the state have helped build the infrastructure for electric vehicles and sustainability being a major part of that,” said Heartland president Rob Widmer.
As of now, 39 community colleges in Illinois are equipped with an EV-changing station.
