Five suspects, arrested as part of Operation Copperhead, were indicted Thursday by the Tazewell County grand jury. Police say deputies executed a search warrant in rural East Peoria. Information received during an ongoing meth investigation led police to East Peoria where an alleged meth lab was discovered and dismantled. Police say they recovered meth, as well as pseudoephedrine and other meth making materials. Indicted are 32 year old Jason Begeman of Pekin and 48 year old James Webb of East Peoria on unlawful participation in meth manufacturing while 29 year old Bryan McCoy of East Peoria, Michael Pryor of East Peoria and Erik Freeman of Pekin were charged with possession of meth precursor.
