The rain is over for now in Central Illinois but flooding is still posing a problem in some areas including South Pekin.

Along Illinois Rt. 29 water was running over the highway on Friday afternoon.
Some residents that live near the highway we're dealing with runoff in their yards.

"It's been a problem for years and there's nothing to really do about", says Terry Joeboyer, a resident in South Pekin.

Further down the road at the intersection of St. Marks Drive and W Main Street, the road is closed due to flooding.

Friday afternoon the village had crews out pumping water out.
That intersection is closed until further notice.
