Guilty Plea Entered in DUI Crash That Killed Officer Kohlmeier

The man accused of driving drunk and killing a Pontiac Police officer last year has pleaded guilty.
     33 year old Jason Collins of Columbia, South Carolina pleaded guilty to aggravated DUI and reckless homicide Tuesday, according to the victim's family.
     Officer Casey Kohlmeier died in that October 2013 crash.  Collins lost control of his pick-up  truck and ran into Kohlmeier's marked squad car along Interstate 55. The officer's K-9 was also killed in the wreck. 
      Collins is scheduled to be sentenced October 15.
