BLOOMINGTON - It's a familiar road now for the team and fans of Illinois Wesleyan University.

The men's basketball team is ready to tip off its Final Four match-up against Wisconsin-Whitewater. On Thursday, alums, cheerleaders and pep band members loaded up chartered buses bound for Salem, Va.

The Titan men's team lost in 2012's national semifinal, while the women brought home a title. Fans are optimistic this is the year, they can finish the job.

"Tiring, we'll be on the bus about 14 to 16 hours, getting out there,” said Winford McElroy, an IWU alum.

“I was already part of a championship team with the girls, so hopefully that karma rubs off for those guys too,” said Ryan Munsterman, a senior for the IWU pep band.

If the Titans win their game against UW-W, they'll play in the championship game tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. against the winner of the Amherst-Williams game.
