GERMANTOWN HILLS - A three year old boy from Germantown Hills is recovering after a tragic accident earlier this summer.
Both of his feet had to be amputated after he was run over by a lawn mower.
Now, the community is taking action to help his family.
More than 400 people lined Michael's Italian Feast parking lot for a spaghetti dinner fundraiser.
It's all for three-year-old Jude Hill.
Jude spent the last 28 days at The Children's Hospital of Illinois recovering from his accident.
The fundraiser will help pay for his medical expenses.
Organizers say the sheer number of help they've received is staggering.
“They got overwhelming support from everybody and we've had to at the end, stop the auction donations because we just didn't have room for everything, ”explains Whitney Axelson, the event organizer.
Organizers say they hope to raise enough money to cover the cost of Jude’s four surgeries.
