Average retail gas prices in Peoria have risen 5.1 cents per gallon in the past week, according to data released Monday by GasBuddy.com. Prices were 14.5 cents per gallon lower than a year ago and 13.2 cents per gallon lower than a month ago. According to Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan with the summer driving season ending, prices are likely to drop in late September through the holidays.
