NORMAL - Students at Kingsley Junior High are getting ready for a marathon session of sorts, taking the ISAT tests.

But before they could start stressing out about one of their bigger challenges to date, students got to blow off a little steam, by putting on their dancing shoes for part of their afternoon.

They also got a motivational message from a Normal Community High School graduate, Ryan Fitzgerald. His message to the kids was simple: Do your best and continue to try new things.

“Do your best, no matter what. Apply it to everything you do in your life, the way you treat people, anything, even a test,” said Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald had his left leg amputated when he was just three months old, but was able to play on the Ironmen football team, and has a championship ring from his time on the squad.

Kingsley students will be taking their ISAT tests for the next three days.
