LEXINGTON - A rural Lexington man is behind bars, following a Wednesday morning fire at his home.

The Lexington Fire Department was called out to 23571 N 2900 East Road just before 10 a.m.

Crews arrived to find the two-story home fully engulfed in flames. Fire Chief Mark Brown says he knew it would be a defensive fight to put it out.

County officials say they arrested Andrew Hall, and charged him with domestic battery, and possession of cannabis and drug paraphernalia. Mclean County sheriff's deputies are still investigating the cause of the fire.

Normal, Chenoa, Towanda, Colfax, Cooksville, and Gridley fire departments assisted with the call. The McLean County fire investigation team and sheriff’s police also helped. No one was injured from the fire, which took about two hours to get under control.
