Peoria - Spring is in bloom at Luthy Botanical Gardens in Peoria.
For more than twenty years, the annual “Lily Show” has showcased tropical plants, spring plants... and of course lilies.
More than seven-hundred total.
Local naturalists say even though these blooming flowers aren't sign of spring, it doesn't mean that they don't get people in a warm weather mood.
“If you plant them in your yard they will bloom more in the summer. We force them for our spring show. We do have tulip, a hyacinth, and stuff that would bloom in the spring outside too” says horticulturalist Melissa Davis.
The show runs through April 20th on Tuesdays thru Sundays.
Admission is $2.50.
