Marshals Arrest Man Wanted for Deadly Stabbing

  29 year old Christopher Croom of Galesburg faces murder charges for the death of Melvin Buckner.
  The 49 year old was stabbed in the front yard of a home on Brooks Street in Galesburg August 13. He died from his injuries the next week.  Croom's charges were then upgraded to murder and unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.  U.S. Marshals found and arrested him Monday morning in Lake in the Hills, a suburb northwest of Chicago.  Galesburg police say his bail is set at $1 million.
