BLOOMINGTON - A Minonk family is still in awe following a miraculous birth along I-39 on Wednesday.

Amanda Bradbury and her husband Kyle were driving to a Bloomington hospital when Amanda went into labor.

Unable to make it in time, Kyle pulled the car over near an off ramp and called 9-1-1.

Emergency responders from Hudson helped the family give birth in the back seat of their van. Bradbury says she still can't believe Breleigh's birth went as quickly and easily as it did.

"Her head was out, and my husband was on the phone with 911 and had her head in one hand, and Matt and Chris from the Hudson Fire Department got there and a couple pushes later, she was out. They did a fabulous job,” said Amanda Bradbury.

Amanda Bradbury is a paramedic in Naperville. This was the first baby ever delivered by the Hudson Fire Department. Breleigh arrived one week early and weighs nine pounds.
