The 16th annual River City Soulfest kicked off on the Peoria Riverfront.
The two day festival features gospel and R&B artists.
Gospel singers hit the stage Friday night.
People also had a chance to check out different local food and gift vendors.
Soulfest Chairman Robert Johnson said, "It brings all races of people together, all types of walks of life, and everybody gets to come here every year, old friends, people doing family reunions all around us, so it's just a great time to be out."
