PEORIA - A music sensation is playing in Peoria this weekend.
Peoria native Liv Warfield will be performing at the Limelight Eventplex Saturday night.
She's spent the last ten years working in Portland, Oregon.
And touring around the world as a back-up singer for Prince.
Liv released her second solo album earlier this year.
She is a graduate of Notre Dame High School, where she was a standout on the track team.
Liv took her talents back to her alma mater earlier this afternoon.
"Actually, Notre Dame kind of gave me the first start of actually writing my own song and teaching to the choir and the gospel choir,” Liv said. “So it's an amazing feeling being in those halls. It's actually kind of tripping me out because I'm here. It's been amazing to be able to come home and to bring my band and Prince's horn section to play tomorrow night so I'm really excited about it."
This is Liv's first time performing in Peoria.
You can catch Liv's performance live tomorrow night at the Limelight Eventplex.
The show starts at 7 p.m.
