The area near the circle will be transformed into a staging area for local and national artists for the Sugar Creek Arts Festival.
It's often one of the biggest tourist draws in Normal for the whole year. Between 15,000 and 20,000 people are expected to stop by.
Vendors will have everything from photography to sculptures available. Event organizers say the show is on par with shows in much bigger cities.
"It's really spectacular, and I think that a lot of folks forget. They're just used to seeing, oh, you know, it's time for Sugar Creek and they don't realize that this spectacular event is in their own back yard,” said Joe Tulley, Uptown manager.
The festival kicks off Saturday at 10 a.m., and goes until 5 p.m. On Sunday, it goes from 11-4. Event organizers say parking will be tight, so if you can walk or bike, do. For more information on the festival, please click here.
