EAST PEORIA – Paintings, jewelry, sculptures, and a wide array of other artwork will be for sale in East Peoria Saturday and Sunday.

The 2nd annual “Art on the Promenade” will take place on both days from 9am-4pm in the Levee District.

It’s an Art Fair that features masterpieces from about 40 artists. All of the artists are from the Midwest, and all of their work is for sale.

Rick Swan, with the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce, says he’s excited for the event. “Last year was a very big event and we’re hoping this year will even be bigger.”

He says there will be a huge display of Midwestern-made artwork. “It’s spread out again from one end of the promenade all the way to the front end of the promenade, toward the library on Washington Street,” explained Swan.

Swan also mentioned a car show that features the Central Illinois Cruisers.

It’s free and you can catch that show from 4pm-9pm. You can also bring your antique car if you’d like to show it off too.
