BLOOMINGTON- OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center is preparing to kick off its 12th annual shoe drive to help Home Sweet Home Ministries.

The homeless shelter is seeking gently used shoes, especially children's shoes.

ANyone can drop-off donations at the hospital's main entrance, Eastland Medical Plaza, and the Birthing Center.

Home Sweet Home hopes to collect more than 3,000 pairs of shoes between August 8th and 17th.

"What we're really looking for is the highest quality shoe we can get. And in particular, we're looking for more kids shoes than we've gotten in the past," added Matt Drat with Home Sweet Home Ministries.

The shoe drive will also have a drive-through drop-off for even more convenience.

That starts Monday and runs through next Friday.

OSF has collected and donated more than 15,500 pairs of shoes to the shelter in the last 11 years.
