The event started at Miller Park in Bloomington, and went down Main Street into Normal, ending at the Corn Crib. Around 750 people, and animals, took part in the race.
Roads were partially closed, and police escorts allowed the runners to make their way across the roads without interruption.
"It's probably the most unique race in town, in that we've got a lot of family members that come into town over the 4th of July holiday, and uh they get to run together and have a good time and a nice celebration out at the ballpark,” said Kevin McCarthy, race director.
In previous years, the race had gone from Miller Park to Fairview Park in Normal.
