A ten-year-old Pekin girl is now listed in good condition at Children’s Hospital of Illinois after she was hit by car Monday afternoon.
Poilce say McKenzie Wilkin was waiting to cross 14th Street at the intersection of Koch Street when a driver waved her across.
Police say a car, traveling northbound, then struck the girl as she crossed.
She was reportedly thrown 40 feet into the air and landed in a nearby yard.
No tickets have been issued.
