PEKIN – The Pekin Planning Commission did not vote Wednesday night on a site plan for a Dollar General store that wants to locate on the former West Campus property. The meeting did not have a quorum.
The old West Campus building was demolished in February. The land is being held in a trust and the city said it doesn’t know who the owners are.
The Planning Commission denied a zoning change for the property last week. It was considering rezoning the location from residential to general business district.
The Pekin City Council will vote on the site plan and rezoning at its meeting on Monday.
