Pekin Police Investigate Double Stabbing

PEKIN – Pekin police are investigating a double stabbing that happened on Saturday night. One man is in custody for the crime.


Michael McClanahan of Pekin has been arrested for stabbing another male. He’s being held in the Tazewell County jail for unlawful use of a weapon by a felon, as well as aggravated battery.


It happened in the 2100 block of Court Street. When police arrived they found both the suspect and the victim with stab wounds.


The victim has a deep wound in his shoulder and remains in the hospital. Pekin police plan to release more information on Monday.
