Average retail gas prices in Peoria have fallen 3 cents per gallon in the past week, according to data released Monday by GasBuddy.com. Prices were 23.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago but 7.3 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says motorists should be ready for higher gasoline prices if the situation in Iraq threatens the ability of Iraq to export crude oil. DeHaan says the threat could cause the national average to rise 3 to 6 cents per gallon.
