Average retail gas prices in Peoria have fallen 4 cents per gallon in the past week, according to a new survey issued Monday by GasBuddy.com. Prices were 6.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago but 1.9 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan believes the national average has peaked for now. By Memorial Day, DeHaan says, if there aren't major refinery problems that develop, we could see the national average dropping to the $3.50s or perhaps even lower.
