The Foundation hosted its annual golf outing today.
It’s the only fundraising event for the foundation.
The money raised is used for classroom grants for District 150 teachers, plus programs and scholarships.
The outing reached capacity this year with one hundred and twenty golfers. Those running the event hope it will top last year’s total of fifty thousand dollars raised.
“This is our 17th year so we are really fortunate. The support we get from the community, Um, we don't really ask that hard. People really step up and support,” said Cindy Morris, President of the Peoria Public School’s Foundation.
The foundation has been around since 1992. It supports Peoria Public Schools.
