Peoria is continuing its partnership with the tornado damaged City of Washington.
Today and Monday... The Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce is having a "Shop Washington" weekend.
Many businesses in Washington we're not directly damaged from the tornado...but they did see a drop off in business.
The next couple of days Washington shops are inviting people from the Greater Peoria Area to come out and help support their local businesses.
Amy Morgan… owner of Lefleur on the Square explains, "We're excited that the surrounding communities, including Peoria are really coming out to support Washington. We're still open for business and our community is stronger than it's ever been."
City-link provided a shuttle-bus for shoppers from the riverfront to the square in Washington.
