PEORIA - We're finding out just how much this wicked winter cost the city of Peoria.

The city spent close to $1.4 million on labor, materials, and snow plow contractors. With the cost of equipment usage and some other materials added in, the total cost is more than $2 million.

The record breaking snow fall also trumped previous years in comparison.

Overtime costs are trending up and for 2014 Peoria spent 80% more than the 2012 season and 70 percent more than 2013.

A budget amendment was just approved to re-stock the city's salt supply.

The Public Works Department says they're looking into changes after this winter like more enforcement of parking bans and sidewalk snow removal.
