The city spent close to $1.4 million on labor, materials, and snow plow contractors. With the cost of equipment usage and some other materials added in, the total cost is more than $2 million.
The record breaking snow fall also trumped previous years in comparison.
Overtime costs are trending up and for 2014 Peoria spent 80% more than the 2012 season and 70 percent more than 2013.
A budget amendment was just approved to re-stock the city's salt supply.
The Public Works Department says they're looking into changes after this winter like more enforcement of parking bans and sidewalk snow removal.
