A Peoria man, who has already served time for robbery and now facing four new armed robbery charges, pleaded NOT GUILTY Thursday to a grand jury indictment. 36 year old Jerry A. Johnson was accused in a string of holdups at the same Marathon station last month. Johnson was captured after police set up surveillance at the gas station after it had been hit on May 9th, 11th, 12th and 13th. According to court records, Johnson was sent to prison for robbery in 1997 while he served time for a forgery charge in 2002 and theft in 2007. Johnson has two other pending court cases for criminal trespass and disorderly conduct and faces a fitness exam in those cases later this month.
