PEKIN - The man who was stopped from allegedly luring a little boy out of a Pekin Hardee’s yesterday is in jail tonight. Police have been looking for the man since yesterday, and today, he was arrested in Lincoln.

Police say Thomas Anthony of Iowa allegedly got a six-year-old to leave the fast food restaurant while his mom was in the bathroom with another child.

Three men at the restaurant confronted Anthony and got a picture of his vehicle and a description of him.

Today, authorities claim he went up to another young boy, this time at Walmart in Lincoln.

The mother called police and Lincoln officers held him until Pekin police arrived.

Anthony has been charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

"This child is safe. There is a male who really alarmed a lot of folks, and so it's nice to be able to find him and take care of what needed to be taken care of,” Det. Mike Eeten of the Pekin Police Department said.

This is not the first time Anthony has been wanted by police. The Grant County, Wisconsin, Sheriff's Office had a warrant for his arrest back in 2012. It was due to bail jumping for a different disorderly conduct charge.
