The public largely holds President Obama to blame for the flood of children who have poured over the border in recent weeks, according to the latest IBD/TIPP poll. The poll found 59 percent of those closely following the immigration crisis agree that the current administration policies and lack of focus on securing the border are behind the situation. Six in 10 say that the children should be ordered to leave the country and 73 percent of Americans are following the story closely. Meantime, regarding the IRS scandal, the same poll found that 65 percent believe the lost IRS emails are an attempt by the administration to hide evidence that the IRS deliberately targeted conservative groups prior to the 2012 election. The president dismissed the scandal but 66 percent of independents think the lost emails were an attempt to cover up wrong doing. Even 36 percent of Democrats say it was a cover up. Meantime, according to the latest Quinnipiac poll, Americans think President Obama is the worst post WWII president of all.
