PONTIAC - Police departments in Livingston County have made a peculiar find in area neighborhoods.

Pontiac Police say they have received four calls from citizens who have received a small bag, filled with rocks and information about joining the Ku Klux Klan. Police officials say Cornell and Odell have also received numerous reports about the same issue. They believe it's part of a national recruiting pitch, but say there's no threat at the local level.

"It is rare, but it's not the first time that just various groups have tired new tactics to recruit new members,” said Maj. Dan Davis of the Pontiac Police Department

The two numbers listed on the flyer go to a taped recording. Davis says there may have been more findings that weren't reported to the department.
