For a while, she didn't know how excited she would be.
"I'm a single mother of five," said Jeanine's mother, Pam. "She was going to go, but we were thinking of going to Goodwill and checking out all those different things, or refashioning things from an older sibling."
So Jeanine and her mom decided to go to Promise of Hope -a "one stop shop" for High School girls who may not be able to afford all the magic for prom .
Organizer Sally Renken said, "We provide them with prom dresses, jewelry, makeup, shoes."
"All of them are really nice, new, and in really good condition," Jeanine said. "This is amazing. From eight stores to one."
Jeanine now doesn't have to worry about prom. She can enjoy it.
"It's neat to see her reaction," her mother said. "Everyone deserves to look nice and feel nice."
"It's something about self esteem," Renken added. "They feel so much better."
"So much more excited," Jeanine said. "That just means I am one step closer to prom!"
The Dream Center Peoria has hosted promise for hope for three years.
