PEORIA - One candidate in the Republican primary was at the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Senator Bill Brady walked the parade route with his running mate for Lieutenant Governor, Maria Rodriguez.

Brady is one of four candidates in the Republican Primary Election.

Making his final appearance in Peoria before the election, he stressed his consistently conservative voting record. He also emphasized the importance of supporting a candidate who is from downstate Illinois.

“Downstate Illinois needs to be served well. As a governor coming from Bloomington, Maria Rodriguez and I, as a team will focus on economic development in domestic Illinois. There is no better place than Peoria to talk about that,” said Brady,

The Senator is visiting the Champaign tonight before spending tomorrow night’s election in his hometown of Bloomington.
