A bill sponsored by State Senator Jason Barickman of Bloomington regarding sex offender registration, passed the Illinois Senate Tuesday and arrived in the Illinois House. The bill clarifies an ambiguity in the existing law. Under the measure, a registered sex offender who loses his or her employment must report in person to the law enforcement agency where he or she last registered within three days of losing a job.
