PEORIA - Students at a local school are getting some hands-on experience.

A team of ten students at the Woodruff Career and Technical Center spent the past two weeks printing t-shirts for District 150 students.

They printed a total of 350 shirts, which will be worn at an upcoming academic conference.

The project is part of the curriculum in an economic class that aims to give students practical business experience.

“If I'm in college and I want to, like, create a design for a catalogue or something, I can help, help show them how to do it because I already have the experience,” said Senior Keith Wright.

The school purchased the t-shirt printing press with donated money.
