Suspect in Armed Robberies String Arrested

PEORIA - Peoria Police have made an arrest for the string of armed robberies this week at a Marathon Gas Station.
38 year old Jerry Johnson was arrested just after 8 Wednesday night for armed robbery with a knife.
Johnson is accused of robbing the Marathon Gas Station on Knoxville Avenue May 9th, 11th, 12th, and 13th.
The Criminal Investigations Unit set up surveillance for several hours Wednesday at the business.
Johnson was apprehended when he fled after allegedly committing the last robbery.
Police say he was identified by victims in all cases.
The allegedly stolen money will be returned to the business.
