CANTON - Kids in Canton schools received a gift today that has them kicking up their feet.

Every student at Ingersoll Middle School and all three Canton elementary schools started receiving new shoes this week.

They are donated by an anonymous company as part of a nationwide project.

Volunteers will deliver about two-thousand shoes to the students.

The schools are eligible for the program because many of their students receive free or reduced lunches.

“We've also had some kids that maybe already had these shoes. We've had a lot of kids donate their shoes to others. So, yeah, it's been very neat,”

Convoy of Hope is the faith-based, non-profit that spearhead the project.
