Dawn Riordan stepped down from her job after 20 years in June. Since then, 93 candidates from all over the country have put in their resumes.
Kristal Thomas and Doug Wiggs from parks and recreation have been splitting the day to day duties. So far, Thomas says all shows have gone on as planned, and there haven't been any major issues so far.
"I think 93 applications coming in was great. I think the reason for that is that it is a unique position and it's a great opportunity for those who are in this field,” said Thomas.
Thomas says the field will be reduced to six candidates soon. They hope to have a new manager in place by some time in August.
