Local police would like everyone to be aware of one of the traffic control measures to help with the traffic congestion during the Country Life Music Festival over the weekend at Ravina on the Lakes. Around 11pm each night of the festival, vehicle access to Ravina on the Lakes will NOT be granted while concert traffic is exiting the venue. Orange Prairie Road, near its intersection with Charter Oak Road and Charter Oak Road may both be CLOSED to inbound traffic at the conclusion of the concert until pedestrian and outbound traffic has cleared. Orange Prairie Road will be open at its intersection with and north of Timberedge Drive. Drivers intending to drop off and pick up concert goers this weekend are encouraged to find an alternate location at least for pick up due to this traffic control measure. Free shuttle service to and from Ravina will be available from 11 am to 2am each day at the Country Inn and Suites and Wingate Hotel, both located near the Shoppes at Grand Prairie. Identifying an alternate pickup location is necessary if arrangements are made to pick up the concert goer immediately following the last musical performance of the night, expected to be around 11pm because Charter Oak Road will only remain open to through traffic until the conclusion of the final performance, when exiting traffic volume is expected to increase significantly.
