DOWNS- Tri-Valley High School has made U.S. News and World Report's list of best schools.

The school ranked 54th among 131 schools across Illinois.

With Tri-Valley being a small school, teachers and staff are thrilled to receive this recognition.

A diverse curriculum and small teacher to student ratios attributed to the school's success.

The Tri-Valley prinicpal is excited to see the school rank so well and says it takes a community effort.

"I think we rank because our goal is to provide opportunity for our students. It's a community effort. We have parents really involved. Obviously our students are involved. We're small enough of a school to be able to create good relationships," said David Mouser, Tri-Valley High School Principal.

Tri-Valley also had high ratings for its students in math and reading.
