PEORIA - The Grand Nationals TT Motorcycle Parade takes place on Saturday, and Peoria Police want to make sure aware of a few traffic changes.

The annual parade takes off from the PMC Race Park on Cameron lane. The group will travel down Farmington Road to Main Street.

The event kicks off at 10a.m. and everyone is welcome to come and watch.

Lt. Steve Roegge of the Peoria Police Department said officers are teaming up with other agencies to help navigate the event and reduce delays for drivers in the area.

“At times the delay has been up to 30 to 40 minutes because of the number of participants.  So, this year we're looking at possibly having to split the participants into two different parades.”

The two different groups would depart 10 minutes apart.

The TT Parade is the only event in Peoria to shut down every cross street on Farmington Rd.

Officers will be at each intersection to control traffic. The parade is expected to end by 11:30a.m.
