Saturday night, people got to boogie for a good cause.
The Young Professionals of Caterpillar and "Helping our Patients Everyday" (H.O.P.E.) hosted "The Awesome 80's Prom" at the Maxam Building in downtown Peoria.
People got to dress the part and dance the night away as if they were going back to their high school prom in 1989.
All the proceeds from the prom went to the Children's Hospital of Illinois.
"We like to do fun, different events that maybe we don't have in the community today," said Angela Martin-Moushon from H.O.P.E.. "A little more fun, a little more excitement to really get to our young professionals in the Peoria area."
Saturday night's dance was a kickoff party for H.O.P.E's big fundraiser - the Fight to the Finish 5K on April 26th.
